Pre-care Instructions

ALL AREAS
◙ Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, etc.), alcohol for 48 hours prior to your appointment. These can cause excessive bleeding during the procedure and may result in poor pigment retention and less optimal healed results
◙ Do not take fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin, Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment
◙ Do not undergo any waxing treatments on the brow or lip area for at least 5 days prior to your procedure.
◙ No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, mesotherapy, microneedling, or any other intense treatment that will cause skin cells to rejuvenate faster near brows or lips for 1 month prior to your procedure.
◙ DO NOT discontinue any medication with out consulting your doctor

BROWS
◙ Do not tint your eyebrows 2 weeks prior to treatment
◙ Do NOT use AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid)
skincare products on the brows for 2 weeks prior to your procedure
◙ You may tan your body; however, avoid tanning or sunburn to the brow area for at least 1 week prior to your appointment. We cannot perform the procedure on sunburned skin. Please cover your brows or entire face when tanning.
◙ If you notice a pimple on your brow area, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible that way we can reschedule you to another date

LIPS
◙ If you have a history of herpes outbreaks (cold sores), take an antiviral medication as directed by your physician, starting 2 days before your lip procedure and continuing for a few days afterward, or follow your doctor’s recommendations. Lip blush cannot be performed if you have an active cold sore or open wound on the lips.
◙ For lip blush procedure exfoliate your lips day and night and use a strong moisturizer as much as possible 5 days prior to your appointment date. Dry flaky lips will give you poor results.

EYES
◙ If you have eyelash extensions, they must be removed at least 3 days before your lash enhancement procedure.
◙ Do not wear contact lenses to your lash enhancement appointment.
◙ Stop using Latisse® or any eyelash growth serum at least 1 month prior to the procedure.



Come looking beautiful :) We will take a lot of pictures/video. Its ok to wear makeup when coming for the appointment


Contraindications
You are NOT a candidate for any PMU procedures if you have any of the following conditions:

◙ ALLERGY to LIDOCAINE, NOVOCAINE (procaine) or other anesthetics. If you're not sure think about if you ever had anesthetic injection on dental work. If no or you're still not sure see your doctor and get tested. This is VERY IMPORTANT!
◙ Under 18
◙ Pregnant or nursing
◙ If you are taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Warfarin (Coumadin), Eliquis (apixaban), or Xarelto (rivaroxaban), please ask your physician whether it is safe to stop these medications 24 hours before your procedure and when to resume them afterward. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication without medical approval.
◙ If you have had lip fillers, wait 1–2 months before getting a lip blush procedure.
◙ Have taken Accutane in the past year & your skin has not yet regulated
◙ Diabetic (must be controlled & bring signed doctor consent letter)
◙ Dermatitis,Eczema,Psoriasis,Rosacea in the treatment area
◙ Tanned/Sunburnt skin in the treatment area
◙ Moles, lesions in the treatment area
◙ Hemophilia
◙ Autoimmune Disorders (must bring a signed doctor consent letter)
◙ Chemotherapy in the past year
◙ Contagious diseases & viral infections
◙ Epileptic/prone to seizures (must bring a signed consent letter)
◙ Face/body dysmorphic disorder
◙ Within 1 month of chemical peel, must be fully healed prior to appointment.
◙ Current use of products with ingredients such as Alpha or beta hydroxy acids (Retin-A products) Must discontinue use at least 14 days before appointment
◙ History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
◙ Allergies to metals (iron, nickel)
◙ Glaucoma for lash enhancement (due to pressure during procedure)
